About

Welcome to foxey silks. My name is Beatrice, and I've been making silk fun and accessible for everyone since September 2020.

Silk is commonly regarded as an expensive, luxury itemrightfully so, considering the work that goes into harvesting the silkworms to make the silk, and all the other costs associated with the production, such as the exclusive feel of the fabric. In the case of foxey silks, we like the sheen and soft texture of the satin weave, which is why most of the products you see on our website are made from silk satin.

There are many qualities of silk that make it an ideal texture to wear: it is breathable and a natural temperature regulator in that it helps the body retain heat in cold weather while excess heat is expelled in warm weather. It is also hypoallergenic, meaning it does not attract dust mites and is a natural fungal repellent. For those with sensitive skin or allergies, silk is about as ideal as it can get.

foxey silks started out as a passion project in 2018I was working full-time, spending any spare moments I had in the evenings and on weekends casually designing large-format square scarves. It was my creative outlet. In the spring of 2020, I was faced with a life change that allowed me to start devoting more time into building a brand and focusing on really making this happen. Silk scarves took a backseat to silk face masks as the world pivoted to unprecedented changes and new norms, and I soft-launched foxey with silk face masks in the fall.

All of our products are made from 100% of the finest mulberry silk, and all designs are original. Every detail is carefully thought out, down to the very last centimetre. In terms of prints, I draw much of my inspiration from Jimi Hendrix's wardrobe in the 60s, hence the name "foxey," after his famous song, "Foxey Lady" which is often seen spelled in this way. A nod to my muse.

Our range of products include: scrunchies, eye masks, scarves, and, coming soon: pillowcases, bucket hats, and loungewear! Be sure to sign up for our mailing list to stay in the silky loop!

xoxo, Beatrice
